ALICIA VALENCIA
League Relations Manager & AACUL Corporate Secretary

Alicia is responsible for board governance and is the primary liaison for AACUL’s board activities, including its committees/task forces and initiatives. She also provides direction of AACUL’s summer and winter meetings.

Alicia works out of CUNA’s Washington, D.C. office. Before joining the organization, Alicia worked at one of its system partners, the National Cooperative Business Association, for five years, where she was assistant director of marketing/member services and meetings.

Alicia obtained her bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature from the University of Maryland at College Park, is certified as a credit union development educator (CUDE) and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, where she serves on several ad hoc committees for the trade group.
